Tata Curvv Launch: Tata Curvv will be the company’s next major product launch in the country. This coupe SUV was recently presented in a pre-production form at the 2024 India Mobility Global Expo in Delhi, generating significant buzz in the market.

Launch Timeline

The company has officially announced that the Curvv EV will be launched in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2024-25. The ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) variants, both petrol and diesel, are expected to hit the market within 3-4 months of the electric model’s launch. This indicates that the electric SUV could arrive between July and September, while the Curvv petrol and diesel versions are expected around the festive season of 2024.

Powertrain Variants – Petrol, Diesel, Electric

Regarding the powertrain, the Tata Curvv will feature the company’s latest 1.2L turbo petrol engine, introduced at last year’s auto expo. This engine, capable of producing a maximum power output of 125PS and generating 225Nm of torque, will be available with both manual (6-speed) and DCT automatic (7-speed) transmissions. Made entirely of aluminum for better efficiency, this new petrol engine features high-pressure direct injection technology and an advanced combustion system.

The SUV’s diesel version is expected to include the engine used in the Nexon, which produces 115bhp power and 260Nm of torque from a 1.5L oil burner. The electric model, based on the Acti.ev platform, is capable of delivering a range of over 500 km on a full charge, although the powertrain specifications have yet to be revealed.
