Telangana lockdown extended for another ten days

On Tuesday, June 8, the TRS government held a cabinet meeting at Pragati Bhavan in Hyderabad, Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao’s official camp office.

It was questioned in the state cabinet whether the state’s lockdown should be extended.

Given that the number of coronavirus cases in the state has significantly decreased, the state administration decided to loosen the lockdown somewhat more than it is now.

Telangana’s cabinet has agreed to extend the state’s lockdown by ten days, till June 20.

It was also decided to prolong the relaxation hours from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., rather than the existing 6 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Beginning June 10, the relaxing hours will be from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The general public, on the other hand, will be granted an additional hour to get home. From 6 p.m. until 6 a.m., there will be strict lockdown.

The Telangana cabinet has opted to maintain the status quo in places like Khammam, Sattupalli, Nakhrekal, and other constituencies where COVID-19 cases are still prevalent.

Telangana Cabinet Meeting: Important Decisions

The state administration presented the great news to state government employees at a nearly eight-hour cabinet meeting on Tuesday.

It has agreed to grant government workers 30 percent fitment, and the PRC is expected to be applied beginning with this month’s paychecks.

The clarification on HRA and other arrears has yet to be made public.

The state cabinet mostly studied health concerns and made a big decision to enhance people’s health.

Harish Rao has been selected as the chairman of a sub-committee to cope with it.

To address the issue of ration sellers, minister Gangula Kamalakar has been asked to form a committee.

In addition to authorising 4,50,000 ration cards, the state cabinet resolved to construct new hospitals and modernise existing hospitals and health facilities.

Diagnostic facilities in 19 areas will be operational beginning tomorrow.

In addition, the state cabinet has agreed to expand the number of dialysis and cancer treatment clinics.

The government has lifted the daytime lockdown from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m., subject to stringent limits.

However, the night curfew will be enforced strictly from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. for the next 10 days.
