Vijayashanthi Joins Congress
Vijayashanthi, known by her screen name Ramulamma joined the Congress party.
The actresss turned politician joined the party in the presence of the party’s national president Mallikarjuna Kharge.
Mallikarjuna Kharge invited her to the party by covering her with a scarf at Gandhi Bhavan in Nampally, Hyderabad.
Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Sridhar Babu and others participated in this program.
She tweeted that she has joined the Congress party. She thanked those who invited her to join the Congress party saying, ‘I am very grateful to the leadership of the Congress and the leadership of the state, who welcomed me with great respect.’
Meanwhile, there are reports in the media that she joined the Congress party with the promise of Medak Lok Sabha seat.
Vijayashanthi resigned from BJP two days ago. And she joined Congress in Kharge’s presence on Friday, November 17, 2023.
