YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, Andhra Pradesh CM meets Amit Shah and discusses state problems-2022
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy met with Union Minister Amit Shah on Friday.
CM Jagan highlighted a variety of state issues, including lifting the state’s borrowing limit and funding for the Polavaram Project.
According to official sources, Reddy reaffirmed the state government’s desire during the meeting to restore the net borrowing ceiling to its previous level.
In a fortnight, he issued a revised cost estimate for the Polavaram Irrigation project of Rs 5,548.87 crore.
On Thursday, CM Jagan met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi ahead of the July presidential and vice-presidential elections.
During the discussion with Modi, ongoing state concerns were also discussed.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy also met with Nirmala Sitharaman, Union Finance Minister, and Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Minister of Jal Shakti.
Many other outstanding state concerns were discussed at the meeting with the PM and other Union Ministers, according to the sources.
