YS Jagan Condemns Arrests of YSRCP Leaders in NTR District

YCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy reacted on social media, declaring the farmers’ first protest against the coalition government’s misrule a success. He stated that farmers took to the streets today, questioning AP CM Chandrababu Naidu’s alleged deceptions and injustices. He congratulated YCP workers and leaders who supported the farmers.

YS Jagan strongly condemned the arrest of party leaders in NTR district. He claimed that today’s protests reflected public dissatisfaction with Chandrababu’s six-month rule. He accused Chandrababu of using police to suppress protests by placing party leaders and farmers under house arrest. However, Jagan appreciated the farmers for raising their demands fearlessly despite the alleged intimidation.

“Is it wrong for farmers to ask why Chandrababu has not fulfilled his promise of providing ₹20,000 in annual investment support? Is it a crime to demand a minimum support price for their crops? Farmers are losing ₹300-₹400 per bag due to grain procurement being handed over to millers and middlemen,” Jagan questioned.

He further criticized the abolition of the free crop insurance scheme, which he claimed had imposed an additional financial burden on farmers. He asserted that farmers have the right to submit their demands to district collectors and condemned Chandrababu’s alleged attempts to obstruct them, calling it evidence of a “demonic mindset.”

Addressing the elections for water user associations, YS Jagan accused Chandrababu of conducting them undemocratically. He questioned the arrest of MP Avinash Reddy and claimed the elections were manipulated to favor selected individuals. He announced that YCP is boycotting these elections and pledged to continue fighting for farmers’ rights.
