Set between 2001 and 2011, “Game On” follows Siddharth (Geethanandh), an employee at a gaming company in Hyderabad, who is in love with Moksha (Vasanthi).

The story takes a dramatic turn when Siddharth loses his job and discovers a betrayal by Moksha and his friend Rahul, leading him to contemplate suicide. However, his simple life takes an unexpected turn when he receives a call inviting him to participate in a “Real-Time Psychological Game,” offering him tasks that result in money being deposited into his account upon completion. Siddharth decides against suicide, opting instead to pursue a luxurious life through the game.

As the game progresses, Siddharth is introduced to Tara (Neha Solanki), a former colleague who declares her love for him, adding a new layer cum twist to his life. The game tests Siddharth’s moral boundaries, especially when tasked with damaging actions and potential violence, highlighting his struggles with the game’s manipulative challenges and the mysterious entity controlling it.

The film passes through themes of love, betrayal, and redemption, engaging the audience with its psychological twists and moral dilemmas.

The technical aspects, including Dayanand’s direction, Aravind Viswanathan’s cinematography, and Abhishek’s background score, adds the storytelling.

The movie’s editing by Vamsi Atluri and well-designed action sequences also contribute to its overall appeal.

“Game On” manages to hold the audience’s interest with its compelling drama and absence of unnecessary scenes, despite the average content and the relatively unknown lead actors.

The film’s journey from theaters to Amazon Prime might have gone unnoticed by many people of various tastes, but its engaging storyline and performances likely to make it a worthwhile watch.
