Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman Mother-in-Law Passes Away
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman’s mother-in-law, and noted political analyst Parakala Prabhakar’s mother, former MLA Kalikamba, aged 94, passed away on Wednesday.
Residing in Manchirevula village of Narsingi municipality, Kalikamba had been suffering from health issues for some time.
She passed away in the early hours of Wednesday. Numerous politicians from the two Telugu states have offered their condolences following Kalikamba’s demise.
In 1981, she was elected as an MLA from the Narsapuram constituency in Andhra Pradesh.
Her husband, Parakala Seshavatharam, served twice as a minister in the united Andhra Pradesh.
The couple had two sons and two daughters, including their eldest son Parakala Prabhakar and daughter-in-law Nirmala Sitharaman.
Kalikamba’s last rites were performed on Wednesday.
