Tollywood star Ram Charan recently faced criticism for visiting the Kadapa Dargah. Responding to the controversy, his wife Upasana Konidela shared a photo of Ram Charan’s visit on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Faith unites, it never divides. As Indians, we must respect all paths to divinity. Strength lies in unity. Ram Charan respects his own faith while honoring all religions.”
In response to Upasana’s post, a netizen commented, “Madam, respecting other religions doesn’t mean visiting a dargah wearing Ayyappa mala.”
The commenter suggested that one can respect other religions without compromising on personal beliefs. In reply, Upasana shared a ‘Times of India’ article titled “Offering Prayers at a Mosque is a Unique Tradition of Sabarimala,” which highlighted that devotees often pray at a mosque before embarking on their pilgrimage to Sabarimala.
