Live: YS Sharmila Clash With Police

Tension erupted at Sharmila’s residence, Lotus Pond in Hyderabad, as the police intervened when she attempted to stage a protest over unemployment issues. Sharmila, the sister of Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao, was stopped by the police as she tried to leave her house in a car to hold a dharna.

The police surrounded the car and pulled the driver out, prompting Sharmila to get out of the vehicle and engage in a heated argument with the officers. Despite her protests, the women police held her tightly and prevented her from moving forward.

As the situation escalated, the police took YS Sharmila into custody and transported her to the Banjara Hills police station. A case has been registered against her for attempting to stage a protest without prior permission.
