YS Sharmila appointed as AP Congress President
YS Sharmila has been appointed as AP Congress chief.
AICC chief Mallikarjuna Kharge has taken a decision to this extent.
AICC General Secretary KC Venugopal said in a statement that this appointment will be effective immediately. Moreover, the Congress high command responded generously to Gidugu Rudraraj, who recently resigned from the post of APPC chief, paving the way for Sharmila. He was appointed as a special invitee in the Congress Working Committee.
Also, a lot happened behind Sharmila’s arrival as APPCC chief. In the recent Telangana election, Sharmila kept her party away from the polls with the intention of not splitting the votes. She announced that she would support the Congress party in the elections.
