Nana Patekar Talks About the Slap Video That Went Viral, Saying ‘It Was a Misunderstanding…’

Not long after people on the internet criticized Nana Patekar for hitting a fan who wanted to take a selfie, the actor used social media to explain the situation with the video that everyone was talking about. In the short video, we see a young boy coming up to Nana to get a picture, and then Nana hits him on the back of his head.

Nana Patekar shared a video on social media where he said sorry and explained that it was all a “misunderstanding.” He insisted that he always says yes to photos with his fans. “I always agree to take photos. I don’t behave like this. This was an accident. If I caused any confusion, I’m sorry. I would never do something like this on purpose.” Nana explained that the moment caught on video was part of the movie he was filming and he didn’t realize the boy he hit wasn’t part of the film crew.

However, even after Nana Patekar said sorry, many people online still don’t believe him and think he’s not telling the truth. They wrote in the comments that they’re not convinced and that the video clearly shows the boy was hit.

According to some media sources, this video was taken in Varanasi where the actor is filming “Journey with Anil” with his son, actor Utkarsh Sharma. In this 10-second clip, Nana is seen wearing a suit and a hat, getting ready to film a scene, when the fan approached him for a selfie.
